The sworn officers of the Gardena Police Department patrol the streets and provide the city’s law enforcement services. Gardena isn’t very large (only about 6 square miles) and neither is the Gardeba police station. As a result, inmates who are arrested and taken into custody in Gardena don’t spend very much time at the station.

Booking and Processing

Once they’ve gone through booking and processing, if they are not bailed out, they will likely be transferred to a larger holding facility at Twin Towers Correctional Facility (for men) or the Lynwood Jail (for women).

When inmates are transferred to larger facilities, they will need to go through another round of processing and will often be forced to spend an additional 24 hours (or more) in custody before they can be released. Beginning the bail bond process as quickly as possible can often circumvent the transfer and get your friend or loved one released much sooner.

The Bail Bond Process

It all starts by giving us a call and providing us with the full name, birth date, and date and time of arrest (if available) of the individual. Once we have this information, we can begin locating him or her and verifying their eligibility for bail. Once this process has been completed, there will be a few short bail bond application forms that need to be filled out and an indemnitor agreement must be signed. That’s it! One of our local agents will be dispatched to the jail and your friend or loved one will be released shortly thereafter.

The entire process can be done in person, over the phone or via fax or email, at your convenience. Just call and speak with one of our caring agents.

Why Bail Someone Out?

When someone is arrested and taken into custody, for whatever reason, it can cause serious problems in their day to day lives. For example, if someone is arrested on a Thursday and their rent is due Friday, they will be unable to pay it and incur penalties, or possibly end up evicted.

Aside from not being able to take care of responsibilities like bills, the inability to show up for work or school will almost certainly lead to firings and/or failed classes. As such, choosing to bail someone out of jail will allow them to take care of their day to day lives while still attending their court dates, and, if necessary, make preparations for time spent in jail.

The Cost of a Bail Bond

In California, the cost of a bail bond is set at 10% of the total bail amount. So, if the total amount of bail is $15,000, then the cost of a bail bond will be $1,500. SCV bail Bonds accepts major credit cards including: Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover, as well as: cash, check (business or personal), money order, money wire or bank account transfer. We charge no additional fees, taxes or penalties regardless of which payment method you choose.
