Officers working out of the Foothill Community Police Station are responsible for patrolling Lake View Terrace. When someone is arrested there, they will be immediately taken to the station where they will undergo booking and processing. This procedure includes having their photograph taken, fingerprints recorded and then a national background check will be conducted. Once booking and processing is complete, bail will be set for those who are eligible.

When inmates are not bailed out within 72 hours, or if the on-site jail becomes overcrowded, the inmates will begin to be transferred to much larger, much busier long-term holding facilities in downtown LA. Men are transferred to Twin Towers and women are sent to the Lynwood Jail. When transfer occurs, there will be a period of 12 to 24 hours during which they will be ineligible for bail. Instead, inmates will be going through another round of processing at the new facility. If the bail bond process is begun while the inmate is still located at the Foothill Community Police Station, transfer can often be avoided altogether.

Why Bail Someone Out of Jail?

Bailing someone out of jail allows them to go about their lives as they await their court date. When in police custody, jobs can be lost, classes can be failed and family obligations cannot be attended to. Additionally, when someone is bailed out, they can have an easier time obtaining legal counsel than they otherwise would.

How to Bail Someone Out of Jail

To bail someone out, give us a call and provide us with their name, birth date and the date and time of their arrest. If not all of this information is readily available – that’s okay! We can still help you out. Once we have the information you provide, we will use it to locate the inmate within the jail system and verify their eligibility for bail. Then, we have you fill out the short, simple bail bond application forms and sign the indemnitor’s agreement. Last, we dispatch someone to the jail to post the bond and your friend or loved one will be released a short time later.

If you are out of the area, or otherwise unable to meet with us in person to fill out the paperwork, we can easily handle the bail bond application process via phone, fax or email.

The Cost of a Bail Bond

In California, the cost of a bail bond is set at 10% of the total bail amount. So, if the total amount of bail is $15,000, then the cost of a bail bond will be $1,500.

We accept a variety of payment options, including major credit/debit cards (Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover) as well as cash, business or personal checks, money orders, bank account transfer and money wire.

Financing Available

We realize that this can be a difficult time, and our goal is not to put any additional financial stress on families. That being the case, if you’re interested in financing the cost of a bail bond, let us know. We have a variety of payment plans that are designed to fit most any budget.
