The Claremont Police Department staffs 35 police officers, several reservists, 23 employees, and over 40 volunteers.

Their jail is an on-site, small facility maintained by full-time civilian employees. It only holds up to 12 prisoners and it is a Type-1 jail, which means prisoners can be held there for no more than 48 hours.

Once a defendant is arraigned in court, they are turned over to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. In some cases, if a defendant is not bailed out of the Claremont jail, they are transferred to the Mens Central Jail (Twin Towers) in Downtown Los Angeles or the Lynwood Jail for women.

Before this happens we, at SCV Bail Bonds, recommend bailing the arrestee out of the Claremont Jail, since the wait time for release is much shorter.

Paying the Full Amount To the Court vs. Paying A Bail Bondsman

If you choose to bail someone out of jail without the help of a bail bondsman, you will have to come up with the full amount of the bail for the court or jail, usually in cash or a cashier’s check.

The court will hold your funds until the case is resolved. Many people may not have the large amount of money available, especially in California, where bail amounts are in the tens of thousands of dollars. Instead, they turn to a bail bondsman for help. But who is the right one to choose?

If you choose SCV Bail Bonds, your cost is 10% of the total bail amount.

For example, if the bail is $25,000, you would pay the non-refundable premium of $2,500 to have the defendant bailed out.

We never tack on hidden fees or taxes. The amount that you pay is never taken until we post the bond at the jail and the inmate is released. We stand by you every step of the way and we can even update you on how far along your inmate’s bail bond process is progressing.

In some cases our agency can charge 8% to those who meet specified criteria. Call one of our agents to find out more.

We accept all major credit cards where most of our clients never even have to leave their home or office to complete the bond. Best of all, our consultation is always zero! Call the bail agency that cares about you and your family.
