Agua Dulce is situated in the Sierra Pelona Valley, about forty miles north of Los Angeles. It is home to Vasquez Rocks, one of the most recognized exterior filming locations in the motion picture industry. (Remember where Captain Kirk fought the Gorn in the original Star Trek TV series?)
Agua Dulce is a real Western town and its name is Spanish for “Sweet Water.” It has a small population of around 4,000 people. But like any place else, sometimes trouble can occur there. The Palmdale Sheriff’s station has an on-site jail. The time taken to book an arrestee there rarely exceeds one hour. Bail can be posted 24 hours a day, however it’s best to post bail for them as quickly as possible. The arrestee may be transported to a bigger incarceration center like the Men’s Central Jail, or CRDF aka, Lynwood (for women).
These L.A. County Jails are extremely busy. More often than not it can take over 24 hours just to bail somebody out of one of these facilities, so you can see why time is of the essence.

Although the Santa Clarita jail is small it is often very busy. Just like Palmdale, arrestees may be bailed out directly from the facility, but once again it’s prudent to do so before they are transported to either the Men’s Central or the Lynwood Jail.
