When Arrested in Bouquet Canyon or on Bouquet Canyon Road, it is likely that the arrestee will be taken to the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station to undergo booking and processing. Once complete, bail will be set and it will be possible for the inmate to be released via bail bond. The on-site jail here is pretty small, and is only designed to hold inmates for a maximum of 72-hours.

If an inmate remains at the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station Jail for longer, or if the jail begins to get overcrowded, then inmates will be transferred to larger jails in downtown Los Angeles. Men are transferred to Twin Towers Correctional Facility while women are transferred to the Lynwood Jail. Once this transfer occurs, the inmate can expect to spend at least another 24-hours in custody as they are processed in at their new location.

Arrest and Booking Process

The arrest and booking process is what takes place when an arrestee arrives at the police station after being taken into custody. It’s he procedure in which their fingerprints are recorded, photographs are taken and a national background check is conducted. The process can be complete in as little as an hour or it can take several hours; it all depends on how busy the jail is. It is only after booking and processing has been completed that an inmate will be eligible for bail.

When the bail bond application process is started while the inmate is still located at the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station, it is possible to avoid their transfer altogether and bail them out directly from the jail. As such, if you know someone has been arrested, it can be beneficial to start the bail bond application process as soon as possible.

Bail Bond Process

The process begins by giving us a call and providing a little information about the inmate for us so that we can locate him or her within the system. Once they’ve been located and their eligibility for bail has been verified, we will need you to fill out the short, simple bail bond application forms and sign the indemnitor agreement. Lastly, we will dispatch one of our bail agents to the jail and your friend or loved one will be released a few hours later.

Bail by Fax or Email

The bail bond process can be completed by meeting with us at one of our offices, or even at the jail itself. Additionally, if you’d feel more comfortable working from home, we can handle the entire thing from start to finish via phone, fax or email. We know times like this can be stressful, and we’re committed to making the process as easy for you as possible.

The Cost of a Bail Bond

In California, the cost of a bail bond is set at 10% of the total bail amount. So, if the total amount of bail is $15,000, then the cost of a bail bond will be $1,500.

We accept major credit/debit cards including Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover as well as cash, check, money order, bank account transfer and money wire. However you choose to pay, we never include any additional fees or charges when we service our clients.
