Inmate Locator

When someone is arrested in Culver City, they are taken here for the procedure known as booking and processing. That is when photographs and fingerprints are taken, and only after this process is complete will an inmate be eligible for bail. The process can take anywhere from 2-4 hours, depending on how busy the jail is.

The Culver City Police Department consists of 108 sworn officers, as well as 21 reserve officers and 50 professional staff members.

The Culver City Police Station Jail isn’t very large. Inmates who do not receive bail bonds will likely be transferred to a larger facility where they will have to go through booking and processing all over again. This can add up to 24 hours to the time an inmate spends in custody.

As a result, it is often best to get the bail bond application started as soon as possible so this transfer can be avoided. When the transfer does occur, men are typically sent to Twin Towers Correctional Facility and women to Van Nuys Jail.

Why Bail Someone Out?

When someone is arrested, it usually comes as a surprise. As such, they are unable to take care of the responsibilities of their daily lives, and bad things can happen as a result.

For instance, getting arrested and missing several days of work will often lead to getting fired. Missing school will lead to failed classes, and not paying rent/mortgage can lead to being homeless. When you bail someone out of jail, you’re giving them the opportunity to continue living their life and, if need be, make arrangements for any time they may end up having to spend in custody at some point down the road.

The Bail Bond Process

It all starts by picking up the phone and giving us a call. We will require a little information in the beginning, such as the name and birth date of the defendant, as well as the date and time of arrest (if available). If you do not have all of this information – don’t worry, we can still help you out.

Once we have located your friend or loved one within the system and verified their eligibility for bail, it will simply be a matter of filling out a few short bail bond application forms and signing the indemnitor agreement. Once complete, we will dispatch one of our agents to the jail and your friend or loved one will be out shortly.

For your convenience, the entire bail bond application process can be completed in person, or by fax or mail.
