When someone is arrested in Pacoima, they’re taken to the Foothill Community Police Station where they will undergo booking and processing. The procedure includes having the arrestee’s photographs taken, fingerprints recorded and a national background check. Once this procedure has been completed, bail will be set.

The on-site jail is small, and only designed for the short-term housing of inmates. As a result, if the jail gets overcrowded or if an inmate remains there for longer than 72-hours, he or she will likely be transferred to Twin Towers Correctional Facility (in the case of male inmates) or the Lynwood Jail (in the case of female inmates). Upon transfer, there will be a period of anywhere from 12 to 24-hours where the inmate will not be able to be bailed out. Beginning the bail bond process while the inmate is still located at the Foothill Community Police Station can often avoid the transfer process altogether.

The Bail Bond Process

Bailing someone out of jail isn’t all that complicated, and it can be done any time. It begins by giving us a call and providing us with some general information about the person you want to bail out. We will use the info to locate them within the system and verify that they are eligible for bail. Once that’s complete, we have you fill out the short, simple bail bond application forms and sign the indemnitor’s agreement. Finally, we provide you with a receipt and send an agent to the jail to post the bond. Your friend or loved one will then be released a short time later.

All of our forms are simple and straightforward, but if you have any questions, we’re always happy to go over them with you step-by-step. If you’re unable to meet with us in person, or are simply more comfortable handling the bail bond process from your own home or office, we can easily accommodate you by completing the entire thing via phone, fax or email.

What is an Indemnitor?

The indemnitor is the person who signs the bail bond. When someone is released on bail, they’re still required to return to court at the appointed date and time. When they do, and the court proceedings are complete, the bond will be exonerated. When they do not, it will be the person who signs the bail bond that is held financially responsible for paying the full amount of bail to the court. With that in mind, only bail out those whom you know and trust.

Bail Cost and Payment Info

In California, the cost of a bail bond is set at 10% of the total bail amount. So, if the total amount of bail is $15,000, then the cost of a bail bond will be $1,500.

Most of our clients choose to pay via major credit/debit card, of which we accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover. However, we also accept cash, business and personal checks, money orders, bank account transfers and money wire.

For those interested in financing the cost of a bail bond, we provide a variety of flexible payment plans designed to fit most any budget. Regardless of how our clients choose to pay, we never include any additional fees, charges or interest. You pay only 10% of the total bail amount and not a penny more.
