Lindsay Lohan Arrested in NYCNot a celebrity to be out of the public’s eye for too long, this week saw Lindsay Lohan arrested again. At Club Avenue in New York City, Lindsay Lohan was arrested for assault at around 4 a.m. after an altercation between her and another female club patron became physical.

As the story alleges, Lindsay and the other woman were seated at different booths at the club, and witnesses reported hearing a heated exchange between the two.

At some point during the argument, Lindsay punched the other woman in the face and left the club shortly after. Police arrived at the scene after Lohan had already gone, but they were able to stop her car in the immediate area and make the arrest.

Lindsay was taken to the 10th precinct where she was released shortly thereafter at about 8 a.m. She was bailed out by her assistant Gavin Doyle, who ended up being kicked out of the car a few minutes after Lindsay got in. Luckily for Lindsay, her accuser did not require medical attention and the assault charge is only a misdemeanor.

Lindsay Lohan has been incarcerated 6 times since she’s lived in Los Angeles for a variety of crimes, two of which are rather notable. And, as we reported in a previous SCV Bail News Blog, she was arrested for hit and run in New York.

Many of you may remember all the media attention given to her over the case of the $2,500 necklace that she stole. She received 35 days of house arrest for that crime, and is currently in trouble for lying to the police as to who was driving her Porsche in a June car crash. That case is still pending, but who knows how it will pan out.

For someone who’s been arrested and incarcerated as many times as she has, she’s done comparatively little time. All in all, she’s served about two weeks total in jail.
