LAPD officers working out of the Mission Community Police Station are responsible for providing law enforcement to Panorama City, as well as Sylmar, Arleta, North Hills and Mission Hills. When someone is arrested in any of these areas, they will be taken to the Mission Community Police Station where they will undergo the booking and processing procedure. Once complete, bail will be set for those who are eligible and it will be possible to obtain their release via bail bond.

The Mission Community Police Station jail is designed only to hold inmates temporarily. If the jail becomes overcrowded, or if an inmate remains at the jail for longer than 72 hours, it’s likely that they will be transferred to one of the larger jails in downtown Los Angeles. Men are transferred to Twin Towers Correctional Facility while women are transferred to CRDF a.k.a. the Lynwood Jail. When transfer occurs, inmates will have to go through another round of processing at the new location which can take up to 24 hours. During this period, it will not be possible to bail them out.

Booking and Processing

Booking and processing is a procedure you’re likely familiar with from movies and television. It’s the set of procedures that include taking the arrestee’s photograph, recording their fingerprints and conducting a comprehensive national background check. The length of time the process takes will depend on how busy the Mission Community Police Station is at the time the arrestee arrives. However, it is only after the process has been completed that bail is set.

How to Bail Someone Out of Jail

The bail bond process isn’t very complicated, and it can be done from anywhere. To begin, give us a call and provide us with the name, birth date and the date and time of arrest of the person you want to bail out of jail. We will use the info to locate them within the jail system and verify their eligibility for bail. We will then have you fill out the short, simple bail bond application forms and sign the indemnitor’s agreement. Last, we send someone to the jail to post the bond and your friend or loved one will be released a short time later.

You’re welcome to meet with us at our office, your home or office, the jail, or we can handle the entire bail bond process via phone, fax or email. What works best for you works best for us.
