When someone is arrested in one of the areas listed above, they will be taken to the Northeast Station to undergo booking and processing. Once completed, bail will be set and it will be possible to obtain their release via bail bond. If an inmate is not bailed out of the Northeast Station within 72-hours, or if the station itself becomes overcrowded, inmates will likely be transferred to one of the larger, long-term holding facilities. Men are sent to Twin Towers and women to the Lynwood Jail. Once transferred, the inmate will likely spend an additional 12 to 24-hours in custody as they go through another round of processing at their new location.

Transfer can often be avoided altogether when the bail bond application process is started quickly enough.

Booking Process

When an arrestee arrives at the police station, they will have their fingerprints recorded, photographs taken and a national background check will be conducted. The process can take anywhere from 45-minutes to several hours – all depending on how busy the station is when an inmate arrives. Bail is only set at the very end of booking and processing, so no matter how long it takes for the process to complete, an arrestee is ineligible for bail until they have gone through to completion.

Bail Process

The bail bond process isn’t all that complicated. It begins by giving us a call and providing the name, birth date and date and time of arrest of the person whom you wish to bail out of jail. We will use the info to locate them within the system and verify that they are indeed eligible for bail. Once that’s done, we have you fill out the short, simple bail bond application forms and sign the indemnitor’s agreement. Last, we send an agent to the jail to post the bond and your friend or loved one will be released a short time later.

We can complete the bail bond process no matter where you’re located. If you’re unable to meet with us in person, we’re happy to handle it via phone, fax or email.

Payment Options

In California, the cost of a bail bond is set at 10% of the total bail amount. So, if the total amount of bail is $15,000, then the cost of a bail bond will be $1,500.

We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover, as well as cash, checks, money orders, bank account transfers and money wire. If you’re looking to finance the cost of a bail bond, let us know. We have a variety of flexible payment options designed to fit most any budget.
