What Happens After an Arrest?

When a person has been arrested by an officer of the Camarillo Police Department, they will most likely be taken to the Main Ventura County Jail, located at 800 South Victoria Avenue. This facility houses inmates from surrounding stations which may not have their own on-site jail.

Some arrestees are also transported to the Sheriff East Valley Station Jail, located at 2101 East Olsen Road in Thousand Oaks. Both facilities contain male and female pre-trial detainees.

At SCV Bail Bonds, we have access to all jails in Southern California, so we can let you know where your friend or family member has been sent. Bail bonds can be posted at the main Ventura County jail 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so we can begin the process of getting an arrestee released at any time.

Bail Bond Payment Information

In California, the amount of bail is determined by the county’s bail schedule which assigns bail amounts according to certain charges. If you want to post bail without a bondman’s help, you will be required to pay the entire amount in cash. This can be difficult — especially in our state, which has the highest bail amounts in the Nation. But there is an alternative: When you work with SCV Bail Bonds, the amount you pay will only be 10% of the full bail amount.

For example: Let’s say the defendant’s bail has been set at $10,000. When you work with our company, you need only pay $1,000 to get your friend or family member out of jail.

But what if you cannot afford even 10%? Don’t worry. In this difficult financial climate, we understand you may not have all the money you need on hand. At SCV Bail Bonds, we offer flexible bond payment options to assist with financing.

Speak with one of our agents who can let you know if you qualify for a payment plan right away. We accept VISA, Master Card, American Express or Discover, wire transfers, direct deposits, money orders and cash.

To Start the Bail Process

First, we will discuss your individual situation and ask a few questions about the defendant. Then, we will email or fax our simple bail bond paperwork to you.  You can also download the documents directly from our website. This application takes just minutes to fill out and we can walk you through it over the phone or in person.

Would you prefer to have a bail bondsman meet you at your home, office or the jail where your friend or loved one is being detained? We have agents local to Camarillo who can do that – at no extra charge.
