Twin Towers Jail

Twin Towers consists of two towers, a medical services building, and the Los Angeles County Medical Center Jail Ward. The Twin Towers facility houses maximum security inmates and a large portion of the county’s mental health inmates.

Men’s Central Jail

You must call the Inmate Information Center at (213) 473-6100 prior to your arrival at Men’s Central Jail. This  will determine if the inmate you want to visit is allowed a visit and if there are any special restrictions.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Men’s Central Jail provides the public with a safe, secure and pleasant environment where inmate visits are conducted in compliance with applicable laws and facility policies.

It is important to note that if an inmate is attending court on any given day, they will not be allowed a visit on that day.

Lynwood Jail / Century Regional Detention Facility (CRDF)

Visiting hours are Saturday – Thursday from 8:30AM – 6:00pm. The last check in is at 4:30pm CRDF was re-opened to be utilized as an all female jail facility.

The two rehabilitation programs that were being held at CRDF have been relocated to North Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic. CRDF provides a booking center for Century Station, Compton Sheriff’s Station and for all female prisoners.

Detainees are allowed a total of one hour of visiting time per week. This may be two 30 minutes visits or one 60 minutes visit, unless special arrangements are made in advance for two hours of visiting time.

NCCF is a maximum security complex comprised of five jails within one facility. It is designed to operate as five separate units, housing 3800 inmates and provide for disciplinary segregation and clinic level medical treatment of inmates. The North County Correctional Facility is a state-of-the-art jail facility. It has enhanced the efficiency of the criminal justice system and serves the safety needs and concerns of the citizens of L.A County.

General Public Visiting Rules and Guidelines:
  • The general public may visit inmates at any Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Jail Facility.
  • Visiting hours will vary and are subject to change without any prior notice.
  • People requesting visitation privileges must possess a valid photo I.D., including:
    • Valid California Identification Card or driver’s license
    • U.S. Military identification card
    • A valid Passport/Visa
    • Alien Registration card
  • Minors under the age of sixteen, shall be accompanied by, and remain under the close supervision of, their parent of verifiable legal guardian.
  • Upon prior request from an inmate, his minor children, over the age of twelve (12) years and not yet sixteen (16) years, may be permitted to visit unaccompanied by an adult with the approval of the facility unit commander.
  • Record checks may be made if it is considered necessary for the security of the inmates, employees, visitors, or the facility.
