Labor Day 2015 is just about here, and that means summer is over, the kids are back to school and we all need to start thinking about what we’re going to do for Christmas. Well, okay, maybe we don’t need to start planning out our Christmas plans just yet. And as for summer, it isn’t quite over, either. But still, Labor Day weekend marks, for many of us, a transition from summer into fall. It’s an occasion for one last backyard barbecue, block party or weekend out of town before we buckle down and start looking toward the holidays.

Labor Day weekend, like many US holidays, usually sees a spike in alcohol-related arrests, as law enforcement agencies increase their presence on the highways and byways of America. As a matter of fact, the LAPD has been conducting DUI checkpoints across the city since the weekend of August 28th in preparation for this weekend. While the exact locations of the DUI checkpoints scheduled for Memorial Day weekend haven’t been released yet, they will undoubtedly be held in a variety of places. If you plan to travel this weekend, make sure you’re careful and avoid driving too far at night. If you’re going to be drinking, make sure you have a place to stay, a designated driver or some other method to get yourself home safely.

Whatever you choose to do, have a safe and happy Labor Day weekend from all of us here at SCV Bail Bonds.
