Photo By Eva RinaldiControversial singer Chris Brown, in the news recently involving his “on again, off again” relationship with Rihanna is being investigated by the LAPD in an alleged hit-and-run.

Earlier this week, Brown is reported to have rear-ended another driver then refused to hand over his driver’s license or any other identification. What he did hand over though, was insurance information that has since been deemed incorrect.

The extent of the damage inflicted during the rear-ending was reported as being medium in nature. While Brown reportedly did not flee the scene, he may still be in trouble due to his probationary status for hitting Rihanna back in 2009.

If investigators deem that Brown left the scene without fully disclosing his information, it could mean a violation of his probation. And that could mean four years in prison.

According to Chris Brown, he did not flee the scene without fully disclosing his information. On the contrary, he states that the other driver has been avoiding him and that he has nothing to hide.

In this situation, the ever-present paparazzi could prove beneficial to the singer. In photos taken of him and the other driver at the scene, he is clearly seen assessing the damage and taking photographs with his current girlfriend, Karrueche Tran.
