LASD Inmate Locator

When taken into custody by the Bakersfield police, an arrestee’s first stop is going to be the Bakersfield Police Station where he or she will undergo booking and processing. Once this process has been completed, bail will be set for those who are eligible. Inmates will be held there at Central Receiving or will be transferred to the Lerdo Pre-trial Facility to await their court date. Usually, inmates do not get transferred to the Lerdo Facility until after their first court date unless Central Receiving is unusually busy. Either way, it is possible to bail an inmate out from either location.

The Bail Bond Process

The bail bond process is pretty short and simple. First, give us a call and supply us with the name, birth date and date and time of arrest of the inmate you want to bail out. If not all of this information is available – that’s okay! We can still help you out. Once we have this information, we will use it to locate him or her within the system and verify their eligibility for bail. After that, you will need to fill out the bail bond application forms and sign the indemnitor’s agreement. All of our forms are straight-forward, and don’t take long to fill out, but we’re happy to go through them with you if you have questions. Once the forms have been filled out, and the indemnitor’s agreement signed, we will dispatch one of our agents to the jail and your friend or loved one will be released a few hours later.

If you’re not local, or don’t have the time or desire to meet with us face-to-face, we’re more than happy to handle the process via fax or email.

What is an Indemnitor?

The indemnitor is the person who signs the bail bond. That individual will be held financially responsible to the courts if the defendant does not show up, on time, for all of their court appointments after being released. If they do show up, nothing else is required of the indemnitor. If they do not, then the person who signed the bond will be responsible for paying the full amount of bail to the court.

Bail Bond Payment Options

We accept a variety of payment options, which include major credit/debit cards (Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover) as well as cash, check money order, bank account transfer and money wire.
